Nutritional Therapy is a journey of discovery, aimed at identifying your unique biochemical needs.
Nutritional Therapists do not believe in a one-size-fits-all diet. Instead, we are trained to assess your current health status, discover nutritional deficiencies, and identify the specific foods needed to restore balance and enhance your body’s ability to heal.
The Nutritional Therapy approach is not about counting calories, weighing food, or fad “dieting”. Rather, we address nutrition from a holistic perspective and trust the body’s innate ability to heal itself . . . when properly nourished. We believe the foundation of true health lies in eating a properly prepared, nutrient-dense whole food diet…that taste delicious!
Nutritional Therapists utilize cutting-edge nutritional research, and regard Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis A. Pottenger as two of the greatest scientific minds ever to research food and its effects in modern society.
Nutritional Therapists are trained to solve mysteries – always looking for the root imbalances that lead to your health challenge, and making recommendations that seek to restore your health at the most fundamental level.
The process of working with a Nutritional Therapist employs three steps:
- First, pertinent health information is gathered from you - a Health History Questionnaire, a Survey of Symptoms, a Food Journal, and a variety of Functional Evaluations. With this data, a detailed analysis is conducted to discover nutritional decencies and identify opportunities for healing.
- Next, a set of recommendations are presented which include optimal diet choices, specialized healing foods, and therapeutic supplements if needed. The initial recommendations are targeted to your current needs, and will evolve as your body heals.
- Finally, a simple step-by-step plan is outlined in order for you to comfortably implement the recommendations. This plan takes into account your food taste preferences, and works around any lifestyle constraints in order to ensure your success.
